1. How is the Edwards Mental Band different from the Lap Band advertised on the freeway billboards?

The Edwards Mental Lap Band is greatly different than a physical lap band. There is no surgery. There are no medical tests used for qualifications or disqualifications. No doctor referral or recommendation is needed. There is no danger of complications. It is a complete natural holistic program that calls upon your mind instead of surgery. The price is a bargain compared to the cost of surgery. The Edwards Mental Band procedure uses hypnosis to achieve the same amazing results as if you've had the surgery.

2. Will I have to be on clear liquids for 6 weeks like the surgery lap band?

No! Your Edwards Mental Band process is a gentle process. There is no need to recover from any shocks of surgery. Your stomach will be gently constricted. You will be able to eat normal nutritious foods immediately, but in smaller portions and very well chewed. I do recommend a more liquid diet for the first week because this alerts your body that a change is taking place and causes the body to go into ketosis where fats are split to produce energy instead of using glucose.

3. How exactly is the Edwards Mental Band installed?

The exact process used is proprietary information. What can be revealed is that your very powerful sub-conscious mind does most of work under the coaching and guidance of your hypnotist.

There is a program to fit your needs, and it's best to call and discuss your options.
If Diane thinks you are a candidate for this procedure, she will tell you, and if she thinks that this might not be the best way for you to go, she will tell you that also.

There are also separate Weight Loss Hypnosis sessions for those who do not want to do the Mental Band.

Diane offers a special program for those who have completed gastric surgery elsewhere and now need help to change their eating habits and lifestyle.

 5. Is financing available?

We accept cash, check and credit cards. There can also be an extended payment plan that spreads out payments for a $25 processing fee for each payment. We are not aligned with a finance company. Sessions will always be paid before taken.

 6. I have heard that some people cannot be hypnotized. How do I know if I can be hypnotized so that this will work for me?

There is no such thing as someone who CANNOT be Hypnotized! Everyone goes into trace on a daily basis.
Diane will choose the techniques that are appropriate for you. Hypnosis is a skill. Each time you do it, it becomes easier. The Edwards Mental Band Program has a preparation period of at least two weeks with supportive hypnosis sessions, supported with an audio program. You are well prepared and accustomed to hypnosis before the Mental Band installation.

The primary prerequisite to someone being hypnotized is their willingness. If you are willing to be hypnotized to enlist your inner (sub-conscious) mind to shrink your stomach, lose excess pounds and change eating habits, then this program will be successful for you.

 7. What is the diet like?

You will be happy to know that there is no specific diet in the Edwards Mental Band program. The nutrition information helps you know what is best for your body and the sub-conscious programming makes the choices more automatic. Hypnosis helps to eliminate any struggle or deprivation and changes start to happen easily and effortlessly.

8. Are there any Maintance programs available?

To ensure the absolute success of this program, maintenance programs are offered at a very low rate. This will ensure the on-going positive effects of the procedure, but only if required.

Many patients of gastric weight loss surgery regain their weight because the root cause of the initial weight was not altered. This is usually some emotion or belief from an earlier experience working in the sub-conscious (usually hidden and not obvious). Until this is resolved, weight loss will be temporary and the dieter may experience a yo-yo effect of losing, gaining, losing, gaining.
